Prince William attended an event in Portsmouth, England, with his father, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla. The event was to remember the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Princess Kate wasn’t there because she has been out of the public eye since the end of December.
It was later shared that she has been receiving cancer treatment, which is why she hasn’t been able to perform her official duties.
In a video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), a veteran in a wheelchair is seen asking William if his wife “is getting any better.”
William then talked about Kate’s grandmother, who also served in the military. He said, “I was reminding everyone her grandmother served at Bletchley Park.” He added, “So she had quite a few things in common with some of the ladies here who were at Bletchley.”
In March this year, after months of not being seen in public, Kate Middleton shared a video on social media announcing her cancer diagnosis.
Prince William’s outing for the 80th anniversary of D-Day was planned before the family’s annual Trooping the Colour military event in June. Although Kate Middleton was made the Colonel of the Irish Guards in 2022, she won’t be doing the Colonel’s Review this year.
A source revealed that Kate won’t return to public life or her official duties until her doctors say she’s ready, and there’s no word on when that will be.
“Princess Kate is still focusing on her recovery, but she has been seen running errands with her family,” the source shared. “Her main priority is her young children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She is getting full support from Prince William, who is dedicated to her recovery. Her mother and siblings are also helping, along with other family members who are supporting her children.”
While Kate Middleton is being kept updated on her patronages, she isn’t ready to return to her duties yet.
A source said, “Kate was kept up to date on the release of the Royal Foundation Business Task Force for Early Childhood report last week, but there’s no sign she’ll return to work soon. She will only come back when her medical team approves.”
It’s good to hear from Prince William himself that Kate is doing better. Share this with others who might want to know how Kate Middleton is doing.
