She asked him, “How much are you selling your eggs for?”
“Eggs 0.25, ma’am,” replied the old salesman.
“I’ll take 6 eggs for $1.25 or I’ll go,” he told her.
The old salesman replied, “Take the price you want. I haven’t been able to sell a single egg today, so this might be a good start.”
I thought I had won the egg and left.
He got into his fancy car and drove to a fancy restaurant with his friend.
There he and his friend ordered what they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered.
And he went to pay the bill.

The bill cost him $45.00 and he handed over $50.00 and asked the restaurant owner to keep the money.
The case seems simple to the owner, but it hurts the poor egg seller a lot.
The thing is, why do we always show our power when we buy from those in need?
Why are we generous to those who do not require our generosity?
My father used to buy ordinary goods of poor people at high prices, even if they were unnecessary.
Sometimes they even gave extra money.
Because of this action, I asked him why he is doing this.
Then my father replied, “This is a noble virtue, my son.”
